Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland for Mrs. Eva Jane DELP, 88, who passed away Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stella Staggs. She had been seriously ill for two weeks. She was born Dec 26, 1873, near Grange Corner the daughter of Ira and Mary Myers and married Marion Frances Delp who preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Staggs; Mrs. Cholie Polachek of Indianapolis and Mrs. Bertha Paxton of Ladoga; 5 sons: Lon of So. Bend; Arbie of Veedersburg; Ben, Veran and vernie of Marshall; 8 grandchldren; 24 greats and 26 great greats. The services were in charge of Rev. William Grimes and music by Mrs. Forest Coleman. Pallbearers were John Rahn; Everett McMullen; Jack Strohl; Robert FInney; Oral Simmons and Vern Clore. Burial in Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Eva Jane Delp of Waveland, age 88, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stella Staggs, Friday morning. She had seriously been ill about two weeks. Born in Grange Corner, Dec. 26, 1873, she was the daughter of Ira and Mary Myers. She married Marion Francis Delp, who preceded her in death. She spent most of her life in Parke County. Survivors include the daughter at whose home she died and two other daughters, Mrs. Cholie Polchek of Indianapolis and Mrs. Bertha Paxton of Ladoga; five sons, Lon of South Bend, Arbie of Veedersburg and Ben, Vernie and Vernon of Marshall; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30, Sunday afternoon, at the Machledt & Servies funeral home. Rev. William Grimes officiated and burial was in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
